                           Template Builder

Introduction

Template builder is designed to help users create dynamic document templates with ease. It is a Word Add-in that allows users to create dynamic templates directly within Microsoft Word from JSON or XML data. It simplifies template creation by automatically detecting dynamic fields from uploaded XML/JSON data and supports drag-and-drop functionality to build robust templates.

Installation Steps

  1. Open Microsoft Word.

  2. Go to the Insert tab on the ribbon.

  3. Click the Add-ins or Get Add-ins button (look for the puzzle piece icon).

  4. Search for EDocGen in the AppSource dialog box.

  5. Select EDocGen and click Add to install the add-in

How to Use

  • Upload a sample XML or JSON file with the dynamic data fields required for your document.

  • EDocGen will scan the file and list available fields for insertion.

  • Drag and drop the desired fields into your existing Word document to build your dynamic template.

  • Save the template for future use or for automated document generation.

You can also install directly from Microsoft Appsource.
